Fictitious Name Check
Qantas aims to ensure all possible seats on our flights are available for sale to customers. A fictitious name check searches for seats that may not be held for genuine customers. A booking that is not for a genuine customer will be cancelled.
How does Qantas Check if a Customer is Genuine?
If a customer’s name appears to be fictitious, the following message will be generated:
‘FLAGGED AS FICTITIOUS PNR PLS ACTION OR RISK XXLN BY QF’
What do I Need to do?
- Act quickly to prevent the booking being cancelled.
- Add a valid ticket number or Frequent Flyer number that matches the name in the booking.
- If you need to make bookings for testing or training purposes, we recommend you contact your Technology Partner for access to a test environment.
