Travel to South Africa for Children
The Republic of South African government requires specific travel documentation for children under 18 years of age to be available for presentation on arrival into and departure from South Africa.
Failure to ensure these requirements are met will result in customers departing from South Africa being denied travel, or customers travelling to South Africa being denied entry and repatriated.
Documentation Required for Children Travelling to South Africa
Qantas is required to check that customers travelling to/from South Africa with a child and also Unaccompanied Minors (UMNR) hold the appropriate documentation.
Please refer to Republic of South Africa Department of Home Affairs. This information is subject to change and we recommend you check the website regularly for any updates.
