Car hire is supplied by our preferred car partners Avis, Budget, Hertz and Thrifty. Qantas receives a commission from these providers for vehicle bookings made via Qantas Cars. Vehicle hire is subject to availability. Subject to the terms and conditions of the Avis Australia Rental Agreement terms and conditions (PDF), Budget Rental Agreement terms and conditions (PDF) or the Avis New Zealand Rental Agreement terms and conditions at the time of rental. Avis age, credit and driver requirements apply. You must be a minimum of 21 years old to rent a vehicle. Qantas Points will also be earned on bookings made using Qantas Points. Qantas Points cannot be earned on Classic Car Rewards. Qantas Points are not accrued on GST, car ancillaries nor optional extras such as car seats, coverage, excess reduction or roadside assistance. Qantas Points are not accrued on fees nor charges including but not limited to excess kilometers, one-way fees, airport fees, late return fees, collection or recovery costs or, roadside callout fees. Package holiday rentals, government rates, industry discounted rates, group rates, some corporate rates, other special promotional rates and miscellaneous charges are not eligible to receive Qantas Points. Members must provide their Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number at the time of booking to earn Qantas Points.  Qantas Points will be credited up to eight weeks after rental.
