Qantas boosts India connectivity with launch of IndiGo codeshare

Latest News|Published 19 August 2022

Qantas is excited to launch our codeshare agreement with IndiGo, India’s largest domestic carrier.

The start of the codeshare comes ahead of our new Sydney-Bengaluru service, which takes off on 14 September 2022. This Qantas service will be the only direct connection between Australia and Southern India.

Eleven destinations will be available for seamless connection on IndiGo from Bengaluru. Popular destinations include Mumbai, Goa, Kolkata and Chennai. Connections to Amritsar and Kochi will also be available from Delhi, with more connections to be rolled out in the coming months.

All IndiGo operated services between Bengaluru and Delhi and the initial 12 destinations will carry a QF codeshare flight number. Qantas customers travelling on IndiGo will enjoy the same benefits as travelling on Qantas such as baggage allowance and complimentary food and drinks.

India is a popular destination among customers, with great demand during the December holiday period.

Bengaluru, India’s high-growth information technology hub has built strong connections with Australia for both business and those visiting friends and relatives. Customers connecting from Australia and across the Tasman will be able to take advantage of the direct service.

To celebrate the launch of the Qantas and IndiGo codeshare partnership, sale fares on Qantas flights to India will start from $1,101 economy return, until 24 August 2022. Refer to your GDS for more information.
