Since March 2020, Qantas has offered members a range of support mechanisms to retain their tier including status extensions, Status Credit boosts and rollovers as well as the ability to earn them on the ground.
While there are more opportunities to travel, we understand members may not be flying as much as they used to. We want to make sure they can continue to enjoy their Qantas Frequent Flyer status benefits and privileges so we are offering eligible members 12 month status extensions
Plus, we’re giving eligible members a head-start on reaching their future status goals with the ability to rollover eligible Status Credits into their next membership year.
Status Extension
Qantas will extend the status for Qantas Frequent Flyer members who:
- hold Platinum One, Platinum, Gold or Silver status and have not been able to earn the required Status Credits to retain their status; and
- have a status end date between 31 July 2022 and 30 June 2023.
Members who have received complimentary Gold status, or complimentary Platinum from a Platinum One member and those on Status Hold are eligible to have their status extended if they meet the above criteria.
Status Credit Rollover
Qantas will rollover eligible Status Credits earned in the Membership Years ending between 31 July 2022 and 30 June 2023, up to a cap of at least 40% of the Status Credits required to retain your customer’s status.
The maximum number of Status Credits that will be rolled over are as follows:
Platinum One | Platinum | Gold | Silver | |
Status Credits | 1,800 | 500 | 250 | 100 |
