We understand that plans can change, so your Qantas Business Rewards Account has multiple options for you to cancel your flight bookings. Learn more about the three cancellation types, and what to do when things don't go to plan.
TIP: If you make a booking on qantas.com or the Qantas App, ensure your ABN is added during checkout to view and manage all flight bookings in your Business Account.
Travel Fund is a new way to easily store the value of flight cancellations directly in your Business Account. It consolidates everything into a single, flexible balance that can be used as a payment option for any traveller in your business, on any eligible flight booking, at any time – without the need to juggle multiple flight credits or track individual refunds.
You can use your Travel Fund balance to pay for a whole flight booking, or for part of a flight booking while paying the rest with a credit card.
TIP: Add to or spend from your Travel Fund balance within 18 months of your last transaction to prevent your balance from expiring.
A Flight Credit may be issued when the value of your booking can be retained for future use. Conditions will apply to your Flight Credit based on the fare rules of your original booking.
Flight Credits are linked to the original traveller in your booking, meaning when you rebook using a flight credit, you will only be able to book for this traveller, or request a name change. There are no fees associated with obtaining your Flight Credit. However, any change fees that applied to your original booking will be applied at time of redeeming your Flight Credit, unless they have been waived. For example, if you purchased a Red e-Deal or sale fare, the change fee will be charged when you redeem your Flight Credit.
TIP: Make sure you check the fare rules of your original booking to find out what fees will apply when you redeem your Flight Credit.
When cancelling a booking through your Business Account, there are 3 options to choose from. There will be some instances where your booking may not be eligible for one or more of the cancellation options. All 3 options will display, however those that your booking is not eligible for, will be disabled and you will not be able to select them.
In the event that your booking is not eligible for cancellation via your Business Account, you will be redirected to qantas.com to manage your booking.
Below are some instances where cancellation is not possible through your Business Account:
Bookings that aren’t made via a Qantas direct channel. For example, bookings made through a travel agent. If your travel is imminent and you're not able to contact your travel agent or third-party booking provider, contact us.
Bookings that don’t contain an ABN will not be visible within your Business Account. When you book via your Business Account your ABN is automatically added. For any bookings made via qantas.com or the Qantas App, make sure to add your ABN.
Bookings that include points as a form of payment. These include Classic Flight Rewards, Classic Plus Flight Rewards, Points Plus Pay, and any Classic Reward Upgrades.
Bookings that weren’t paid for using Australian dollars (AUD).
Bookings that have already been used or where the traveller has already checked in. if you no longer wish to travel but you have checked in, you will need to undo your check in before you can cancel your booking
Some bookings are not eligible to be cancelled to Travel Fund, in these instances you will have the option to cancel your booking through qantas.com via the Manage your Booking function and request a Flight Credit or Cash refund. Some examples where you will be redirected to qantas.com include where the booking was made in a non-AUD currency, Qantas Points were used as part of the payment and some complex bookings.
If you have upgraded your flight and no longer wish to travel, please contact us to have your booking updated and then you will be able to proceed with your cancellation. If you have checked in for your flight and can no longer travel, please reverse your check in via the Qantas App or through qantas.com and then you will be able to complete your cancellation.
Flight Credit will not be available as a cancellation option in the instance where you are cancelling within 24hrs of making the booking or where Travel Fund was used as the payment option.
If you made your booking through a travel agent or other third party, and your fare rules permit cancellations to your booking, contact your booking provider for assistance.
If your travel is imminent and you're not able to contact your travel agent or third-party booking provider, contact us.

Flight cancellation applies to all passengers in your booking. To cancel flights for individual passengers, you'll first need to separate them from the booking. These passengers will be placed in a new booking with a different booking reference and then you can make the changes you need.
