A.H. Beard has been selling made-to-order bedding for 122 years. It offers a range of customisations and for this reason, manufacturers and staff at retailers – including Forty Winks and Harvey Norman – require specialised training.
Online learning is the natural solution but the company’s CEO, Tony Pearson, says engagement can be a challenge. That changed in 2021 when he chose to partner with Learnt Global. “Learnt’s methodology works best and they understand our business better than other providers,” he says.
“We can measure engagement, the number of people utilising the system and completion rates. We look at this against standard metrics, like the take-up rate or awareness of the product.”
Then there are the Qantas Points. Pearson travels for up to six months a year, scouring the world for innovations in componentry and construction. Dozens of his staff members also fly frequently, mostly using points earned through Qantas Business Rewards. Pearson allocates the points his business earns to the employee flying as an additional reward to the points and Status Credits they already earn.
