We are constantly looking to improve and update your Qantas Business Rewards Account features to help make your life as a business owner or employee easier and enable you to make running your business even more rewarding. So we have some exciting new program features and benefits on the way.
To enable these new features and provide you with greater flexibility when you are allocating permissions to your Account users, we have split out the ‘Manage company bookings and credit cards’ single permission into two separate permissions so now you will be able to select from:
Old permission set
New permission set
Any account user that had permission to ‘Manage company bookings and credit cards’ previously, will now automatically have both ‘Manage company bookings’ and ‘Use and manage credit cards’ selected in their permission profile with no change in functionality for the user.
Should you wish to change the permissions of any account users given this new flexibility simply go to the ‘Manage People’ page, ensure you are in the ‘Account Users’ tab, then find the account user you would like to update and select ‘Edit’ next to their name.
You can then select from the list of permissions below and once you are happy with your selection then click the ‘Update profile’ button and their permissions will be instantly updated.
You can invite new users to access your account, and as the person adding them, you are able to specify their access or permissions depending on their role in the business. These permissions are:
Search and book flights
Add and manage travellers within your business
See your business’ points and point activity
Transfer points
Manage company travel bookings
Use and manage company credit cards
Add and manage other users
If you are the Account Manager you will automatically have full access to all account permissions. If you are an Account User the person who invited you will have set your permissions at the time that they nominated you to join the account.
You can not update your own permission settings. If you require access to a function in your account that you don’t currently have access to, then you can contact the manager of your account or a user with permissions to ‘Add and manage users’ and they can instantly update your permissions via the method below. To see who your Account Manager is, go to the ‘Manage People’ page, ensure you are in the ‘Account Users’ tab and it will tell you the name of your Account Manager.
If you are the Account Manager or an Account User with permission to ‘Add and manage users’ then you are able to update any other account user’s permissions quickly and easily. Simply log in to your Business Rewards account, go to the ‘Manage People’ page, ensure you are in the ‘Account Users’ tab, then find the account user you would like to update and select ‘Edit’ next to their name.
You can then select from the list of permissions below and once you are happy with your selection then click the ‘Update profile’ button and their permissions will be instantly updated.
No, these changes will not affect any of the existing access or permissions that any users in your account already have, they will simply give you more flexibility when selecting account user permissions in the future, or if you want to update your existing account user permissions.
These changes will not affect the permissions of any current users, it will simply mean that if a user had existing permission to the single ‘Manage company bookings and credit cards’ permission, they will now have two permissions enabled to ‘Manage company bookings’ and to ‘Use and manage company credit cards’, no functionality will be affected and there will be no difference to any user experience.
