The Qantas Distribution Platform has the capability to offer Dynamic Commissions to travel agents. When shopping via the Qantas Distribution Platform, you will be able to identify offers which attract a commission that is higher, than the standard base commission that would normally have applied. 

When shopping via the Qantas Distribution Platform, you are able to view the commission that applies to a particular offer in the Offer Price response. You can identify when a Dynamic Commission is applicable, when the text ‘Dynamic Flight Commission’ is displayed in the Offer Price response.

Once the booking has been created the commission, including any Dynamic Commission, will be visible in the customer’s order. When the order is ticketed, the Dynamic Commission will be processed using standard BSP or ARC processes. 

If your customer makes changes to their booking which requires additional payment by the customer, the Dynamic Commission may not apply to any additional collection amount required on the new ticket. You will be able to view the commission that is applicable to the additional collection amount.  Where a schedule change or disruption occurs, the original ticketed commission amount will continue to apply. If your customer’s booking is refunded, the Dynamic Commission applied to the booking will be recalled using standard BSP processes.  

Dynamic Commissions can only be accessed by travel agents who are participating in the Qantas Channel and make bookings via the Qantas Distribution Platform. Please check with your Technology Partner to find out when Dynamic Commissions will be available for bookings made by your agency.
