Emirates

Are EK operated services to DXB and cities within Asia still permitted?

No, with the change to the Qantas network from 25th March 2018, you can now access Asia with QF direct services from LHR-SIN and beyond to other Asian cities using partner airlines at all fare levels.

Existing Bookings

Can an existing booking made prior to 1st January 2019 be changed  to the new contract if it is not ticketed?

Yes this is permitted.

Departures

Are departures from a regional UK airport permitted ?

Customers must use BA via LON unless there is a direct transatlantic flight from regional UK airports with AA to North America. Regional departures from the UK are common rated with LON.

How to Quote

How can the new Round the World Economy fares be quoted in the GDS?

Please use the override command listed on the fare contract sheet. Fare quote override entry should be used for S, M & K classes. Fare quote override entries should be used for RTW Fares only and cannot be used for any other Fares. If using the QF override command to quote your PNR, the GDS generated tour code must be used for ticketing. If quoting manually from the paper contract, Tour Code GBE105 must be used for ticketing.

Stopovers

What airlines are permitted from Singapore to other cities within Asia?

3K/JL/JQ operated services booked with a QF code or CX interline. Options to/from SIN on QF*3K are BKK /JKT/DPS/HKT/SGN/REP permitted on all fare levels, or use CX to HKG/BKK and QF*JL to TYO also on all fare levels.

What cities in Asia are permitted to Australia?

We have 10 cities available where Qantas serves direct flights into Australia: SIN/BKK/HKG/DPS/JKT/TYO/KIX/MNL/PEK/SHA.

For flights within Australia , what is the best fare to use?

Please refer to the Qantas Explorer Fares for discounted domestic travel within Australia and New Zealand in Economy class only. Any Business sectors will need to be booked on a separate ticket.

If New Zealand is part of the itinerary, should this be the point of turnaround?

Yes, when New Zealand is included this will be your point of turnaround. This must be permitted within your stopover allowance. Any additional stopovers will be charged in accordance with the fare rules.

Are surface sectors permitted?

Yes, surface sectors are permitted. Combining North & South America is only permitted via MIA/NYC routing options.

Is NAN permitted as part of the Round the World fare?

Yes, NAN and other destinations (NOU/POM/HIR/PPT/RAR) can be added on to all fare levels using our Qantas SWP add-ons which can be found on the Qantas Explorer Fare.

Is travel via LAX/SFO to NAN permitted using QF*FJ?

No.  This is no longer permitted however NAN can still be incorporated using our Qantas SWP addons.

What cities are permitted to or from North America?

One Direct transatlantic flight permitted on AA/BA to LAX/NYC/DFW/SFO/YVR/YTO/WAS/MIA/LAS/BOS/DEN/ORL/FLL/MSY/HNL/SEA/BGI/CUN/PHX/BDA/SAN/GCM/GND/MEX/NAS/SJO/SLU/CHI/PHL.

Is travel permitted within North America?

Yes, one direct AA flight within USA and Canada or from MEX/CUN to USA can be used. Between JFK-LAX or v.v only AA is permitted. JFK-LAX operated by QF is not permitted if this flight is not connecting to/from a Qantas operated flight due to traffic restrictions. For further details on travel restrictions please refer to .

What cities are permitted to or from South America?

One direct transatlantic flight permitted on BA to RIO/SAO/BUE/LIM/SCL or one transatlantic IB flight with UK connection via MAD to RIO/SAO/BUE/LIM/SCL/MVD/BOG/UIO/PTY/GUA/SJO or one transatlantic AA/BA flight to MIA/NYC with connecting AA flight to BOG/UIO/GUA/PTY/CUN/SJO

What airlines are permitted within South America?

One direct QF*LA flight or LA is permitted.

QF*LA between SCL and RIO, EZE, GRU, LIM. Additionally LA is only permitted between SCL-EZE. 

Can North and South America be combined on the same itinerary?

Yes, but only when using the one transatlantic AA flight from the UK to BOG/UIO/GUA/PTY/CUN via NYC/MA only (or vv.). A stopover in either NYC or MIA is permitted and is to be included as part of the permitted stopover allowance.

Is Mexico considered part of North or South America?

As per IATA definition, Mexico is classed as North America (along with Canada & USA).

What cities are permitted to or from Africa?

One direct BA operated service between CPT/DUR/NBO/JNB to LON v.v. Travel within Africa is not permitted however surface sectors may be permitted.

Changes

Are changes permitted?

Date changes and reroutes are permitted for a fee. Refer to the fare rules for more details.

Mileage

Does mileage need to be calculated?

No. This fare is stopover based and you are permitted 3 stopovers in each direction with additional unlimited stops permitted at £75 each on all fare levels.

Combinability

Can classes be combined at point of turnaround?

No, however you can combine Qantas Premium Economy Round the World at point of turnaround between T/R class to permit travel in Premium Economy in one direction.

Ticketing Time Limit

What is the Ticketing Time Limit?

Refer to the GDS or fare rules for the TTL/APEX conditions. Please note that if there is any earlier TTL generated remark through the GDS this must be adhered to.
