The Qantas Distribution Platform now has the capability to distribute companion fare offers. These offers will be made available from time-to-time on eligible flights.

You can identify where a companion fare offer is available when you see ‘Companion Flight Price Offer’ in the shopping response. The level of discount that applies for each passenger may also be shown in the shopping response. Please check with your Technology Partner to understand how companion fare offers will be displayed for your agency.

When shopping for two or more passengers, the Qantas Distribution Platform will recognise the eligibility to offer a companion fare offer based on your customer’s itinerary. The relevant companion fare offer for each customer’s fare will be applied with the applicable discount. 

If a customer has booked a flight where a companion fare offer has been applied, and the customer then makes changes to their booking, any changes made to the booking will be subject to the rules and conditions of the new applicable fare. If the offer is no longer available, the passenger may not be eligible for the discounted fare originally ticketed. The new fare needs to be of equal or higher value in line with the relevant Qantas Ticket Reissue Policy. Access to companion fare offers is dependent on the capability of your Technology Partner. Please check with your Technology Partner to find out when companion fare offers will be available to access and sell via the Qantas Distribution Platform.
